Photo Illustration

This is a photo illustration of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse in college age adolescents. In some of the photos, there are baby pictures next to the subject depicting how fast time can fly by. One day you are bringing your newborn child home from the hospital and the next day they are going off to college. With the illustrations I was shooting to push parents to inform their children of how serious using drugs and alcohol is, especially for those who do not have the watchful eye of their guardians looking over their shoulder. 

Chaos in Motion

This assignment was focusing on motion. By the above pictures you can see that I was able to capture "Chaos" and her owner Conner Brown in motion at Anacortes' Dog Park Monday afternoon. Not only was I trying to capture Chaos in motion but i was trying to illustrate that pit bulls can be great dogs.

In this set of photos, I illustrate the emotion on Austin Kmetovic's face while he slacklines at Boulevard Park on the first of February while the sun shown high in the sky. This was for my emotion assignment. I chose to focus on someone happy rather sad because I, personally, think that happiness is the strongest emotion out of them all.

These pictures were from my environment/personality assignment. I shot Hailey Brown, an 18-year-old from Mount Vernon, WA who has been saving her money to go to culinary school. I thought what better environment then to shoot a cook in the kitchen. My pictures are pretty amateur, in my own opinion, but the experience was really fun and it was definitely a learning process for me. I played around with angles and indoor lighting, not with the best results but with decent results.

IceBreaker

These pictures are from my first assignment in photojournalism. It got us to go out and explore the wonders and hardships of being a photo journalist. I experienced a lot of people ignoring me as well as a lot of rude people in general. Overall, it was a great experience though.
